Thorold Community Pool

Change is coming

Please be advised that programming at the Thorold Community Pool will be changing for the summer of 2018.  Stay tuned for details about new swimming lesson times and new programs.

The City of Thorold operates one outdoor swimming pool and six splash pads throughout the city during the summer months.  The outdoor pool, located at 111 Richmond Street, is open daily as weather conditions permit, from the end of June to the Labour Day weekend each year.  Pool hours may be extended in the event Niagara Region Public Health issues a heat advisory or alert.

The pool provides the community with opportunities to participate in public swimming, lane swimming, Lifesaving Society swim lessons as well as Lifesaving Programs from Rookie Patrol to Bronze Cross.

The Thorold Community pool is a 6 lane, 25-metre outdoor pool that includes a gently sloped beach entry, spiral slide, diving board, splash pad and barrier-free access via a wheelchair accessible ramp into the pool.  The pool has a maximum operating capacity of 350 patrons in the pool and on the pool deck.  The pool is also equipped with male and female change rooms and washrooms, a sound system and sun shelters around the perimeter of the pool.
