While your tax bill is issued by the City of Thorold, in addition to the City's taxes, your tax bill includes charges collected on behalf of Regional Niagara and the school boards, and the Niagara Health System, which are in turn remitted to them. The amount of taxes billed will be determined by the Current Value Assessment of your property, ie. urban or rural, and the property class to which it is assigned. (please see Tax Rates page). |
How is my tax bill allocated? Please note that should your home be valued at greater than or less than average value, while the percentages indicated on the chart will apply, the indicated dollar levels will be proportionately different. |
