Stick and Puck

Stick and Puck is a great opportunity for children and an adult to practice their developing hockey skills.  Nets are available on ice and children are encouraged to practice their stick handling skills in a non-competitive setting.  Direct adult supervision (18+) is required at all times with a maximum of 2 children per adult.  The cost to participate during stick and puck ice time is $5.00 for one adult and two children (cash only).

Stick and Puck sessions for 3 to 6 year olds are Wednesdays from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and 3:15 p.m. to 4:15 p.m.  The Stick and Puck session for 7 to 12 year olds is Thursdays from 3:15 p.m. to 4:15 p.m.  The season begins September 14, 2016 and runs until March 30, 2017.

Participants, including adults are required to wear skates, gloves and a CSA approved helmet.  Slapshots and organized games or practices are strictly prohibited.  Failure to abide by the rules may result in ejection from the program or program cancellation.

Stick and Puck will not be available on December 28 and 29, 2016. Other cancellations of stick & puck may occur due to arena maintenance, holidays or special events.

While the City of Thorold strongly recommends participants wear a CSA approved helmet for all ice activities, helmets are mandatory for all Stick & Puck participants.
