All City of Thorold operations, with the exception of the Thorold Arena, Fire and Public Works Departments, will be closed from December 24, 2014 to January 2, 2015 (inclusive) during the Christmas and New Year's season. Regular business hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. will resume on Monday, January 5, 2015.
In the event of emergency situations regarding burials, roads, sewers or water, emergency crews will be on standby.
Any by-law complaints should be directed to the by-law complaint line at 905-227-6613, ext. 359. By-law complaints will be answered when regular business hours resume.

Municipal Councils establish boards and committees to enable citizens to become involved in service areas that enhance the community.
The City of Thorold is now accepting applications from citizens of Thorold to serve on the following municipal boards and committees of Council, generally for a term ending November 30, 2018. All appointments involve voluntary community service without remuneration, with the exception of Committee of Adjustment/Property Standards Committee.
