T. Roy Adams was an eminent Niagaran, well known throughout the Region, Canada, and abroad for his service to God, his country and his fellow citizens.
In memory of the late Councillor T. Roy Adams, Niagara Region initiated a memorial award in 2003 in his name to honour a resident of Niagara who best exemplifies Roy's values and dedication to community service; a person who sees volunteerism as an integral part of their life.
Nominations are open for the 2016 T. Roy Adams Humanitarian of the Year Award.

On December 15, 2015 Thorold City Council adopted a By-law requiring all property owners to clear away snow from any sidewalk along the perimeter of their property within 24 hours of the cessation of a winter storm.

On October 27, 2015, the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC) will begin to mail nearly one million Property Assessment Notices to property taxpayers across the Province.
Each Notice mailed this fall shows the assessed value and classification of a property based on a January 1, 2012 legislated valuation date, which is in place for the 2013-2016 property tax years.
